"If the misery of our
poor be caused not by
the laws of nature, but
by our institutions,
great is our sin."

hmm i haven't updated in a while...

Do ppl still use xanga? haha.. well actually i think i've spent the last few, ok prob like 15 mins, scanning the previous posts. Which from then I concluded that ppl still DO USE XANGA!

When is this "fab" going to run out? But I guess its a good way to express your thoughts, without being criticized, or having to defend yourself.

So after, ... a quite short conversation with a friend... i've decided that in the somewhat near future (ie by oct.) i'm goign to drink a bottle of whiskey in 12 hours, and ... just see what happens...

I'm sure i'm capable of doing it, but if i'll find the time, thats another question! I mean, i remember first year, last day of class, I was pretty much drinking the whole day... (My roommate said that i had to drink 3 beers before i could leave my room :S... and it was 8AM loL!) Anyway, I am definately up for my self imposed challenge! I'm thinking a good day is my bday! hahah! or sometime during first week of school...

I'm definately looking forward to that!

Well, I've got to say that is has been a very productive summer for me. I have learned a lot on a few items. I've learned more about what I may want to do in the future. I've met a lot of people that have been quite inspiring, and they have given me hope about the uncertainty of life after university. I definately believe that finding a correct career path is a challenge, but if you believe in what you can make a difference, it makes.... a lot of difference.

Also, as this will probably be my only update for a while, I want to tell you my thoughts on the recent terrorist activities. I want to say that I really like "24". Its a really good show, and I think everyone one should watch it; not for entertainment, but to be exposed to what our gov't MAY be doing... Our world has changed since 9/11. There has been a lot of contorversy about 9/11 and if it was actually caused by the US gov't... U know what, it happened. It doesn't matter to me, if the US gov't did it or if terrorist did it. The fact is that terrorists WANT to disrupt our way of life. We have to protect that. We have to believe in what we believe. We don't necessarily have to spread it, but when we see abuse, we should definately do something about it.

A case in point, is those canadians and americans that travel to some third world country and offer food for child sex. Like seriously... just because you are in another country doesn't mean its OK. It is still wrong, by our laws, by international laws and by YOUR own personal morales. When there is abuse somewhere else in the world, I believe that we as Canadians should stand up for what we believe in. Freedom is not controversial. It is a right. We are all equal, no one should say otherwise. Abuse has to be stopped. Terrorists try to demean this. They want us to think that freedom comes with a price. Well, freedom does come with a price, but I am glad that we are in a country that is willing to sacarfice for freedom.

I hope everyone reading this takes the time to think of their priveleges and rights. We are truly lucky to be citizens of a country like Canada. I am a proud Canadian. I hope you are too. There are problems in Canada, but we stand for our beliefs. there is nothing more important than that!

For all those stressed students out there, I thought you would enjoy my "getting owned by the door" story.

So yesterday, I woke up at 6 to do something studying... At 7 I decided to go take a "nap", for about 20 to 30 min.

Well, I got up and looked at my clock: 9:01 AM.

I prompt say "OH SHIT!" in response to wasting over 1.5 hours!

I scramble out of my bed and for some reason start running to the door.  (I guess if I rushed out of bed, I would be more awake?  I have no idea!)

Not noticing that the door is only 1/3 open, i try to squeeze through it ... unsuccessfully.

As my back rubbed vigoriously on the edge of the door, my body was forced to fall towards the door frame.  Not just any part of the door frame, the part where the door knob meets the door frame.  That semi sharp metal door knob holding thing jabs into my abdomen, while my arm swings around and gets abraised by the upper part of the door frame.

Before I know, I am on the floor, with Shin laughing his head off.

My arm, back and abs are in pain... I do a quick survey: physical damage to back, arm and abdomen area.
